Digital Experiences Suck… But The Show Must Go On

It’s no secret that COVID-19 has not only caused many organizations, promotors, and live events to pivot, but has also had a direct effect on the live experience that music lovers get from these events—like a packed house with everyone shoulder-to-shoulder, screaming and nodding their heads to the performance of artists who are locally-known or internet famous. There’s nothing that tops that experience.

So what happens when you can’t have a packed house because of Rona? You move to digital. But is the experience the same? Not at all. While statistically more people have been listening to music during the pandemic, the hands-on experience is still far better.

While digital experience sucks compared to a live event, the show must go on.

There are some definite pros about going digital. I’ll save you the bore of the list, but one of the main perks is that it allows artists to gain more exposure to their current and potentially new fans, and gives fans the on-demand experience of seeing these artists perform. While it’s digital, you can still experience that nostalgic vibe and energy from these artists’ performances.

The show must go on people, and we’re here to keep it going.
